When I think of romance heroes and when they first appear on the pages of our favorite romances they can usually be classified as a heartbreaker or a heartthrob. They are the hot guys who do not know they are breaking hearts. The hot small town doctor who is not looking for love, raising his little sister our heartthrob. The bad boy biker who is only into causal relationships also known as the heartbreaker for example. One of my favorite heroes is Jude in Jude’s Law by Lori Foster. He was a former UFC Champion turned Hollywood heartthrob.

Hmmm… Hard question because I have several. I like the Carpathian men/women from Christine Feehan’s dark series. There are others but since I’m currently reading Dark Storm, it seems like an obvious choice. Great series 🙂

Heart throbs would be all of the men in Jill Shalvis’ Lucky Harbor series. Some may have started off as bad boys not wanting to be involved, but of course that changes!

My favorite heartbreaker is Smitty from the book “The Beast In Him” by Shelly Laurenston. He was just drop dead gorgeous and sexy and he broke Jessie Ann’s heart when he wouldn’t claim her with “the Smith Mate Maul” If you want to know what the heck I’m talking about…….READ THE BOOK. 🙂 In fact I recommend you read the series.

Tara Lain’s guys tend to be heartthrobs–love them! On the other hand, Dante from Damon Suede’s HOT HEAD is a heartbreaker for sure. (His best friend/love interest, Griff Muir, is a heartthrob, though he breaks MY heart because I want him for myself!)

Scarlett O’Hara is the ultimate self-centered heartbreaker. I disliked her character in the book, but Vivian Leigh’s glittery, evil portrayal in the movie is so much fun to hate. I also like inadvertent heartbreaker Sidney Portier in To Sir With Love. The most erudite, educated, gorgeous man around–and completely off limits!

since the heroes get redeemed with their one & only lady and a HEA ending, they are no longer heartbreakers, however, since I don’t get to be that one & only lady ;( then maybe they are all still heartbreakers after all. hmmm, will have to ponder this further 😉 thanks for the giveaway.
