Strict Machine, Justus Roux (Interview/Review/Giveaway)

strict machine coverStrict Machine, Justus Roux

Salome was tricked by the man she loved most in this world. Lucian said he was her Master and that he loved her. Yet, he abandoned her here with these strange men.  Her life quickly became a living hell. One in which she thought she never escape until a man named Master Darius saved her from these slavers.  He was going to hunt down Lucian and she wanted to be there when he caught him.

Darius wasn’t too happy when Salome wanted to be his submissive after he saved her from those slavers.  He couldn’t refuse Xanthos’ request to train Salome. They had to keep her from running back to Lucian. Darius knew Salome wouldn’t fit into his home, his submissives were trained to break up slave rings and she was nowhere near tough enough to do this. He figured he would keep her until he caught Lucian then he would send her to Master Drake. She would certainly fit in with Drake’s pampered pets.

Salome finds herself falling in love with Master Darius despite the fact that he comes across to everyone as a strict machine. She knows underneath his frigid facade there is a Master beyond all others. But will she have the strength to uncover it, especially after what Lucian has put her through.

Bookswagger Marcia: Four Crowns,  good read, on the way to swagger. Strict Machine is a unique concept. You have a Master who is into steampunk making creations to pleasure his subs, who are female submissives with assigned male submsissves (he does NOT touch the males, so do not be alarmed, it is not that type of story, but let me know if you are looking…wink, wink). The plot is what led to the four crowns and the relationship between Salome and Darius. Roux made Salome a believable heroine, she was abused by her captor and did some believable things, like releasing him when he was captured even though I was like…Why???? Why, kill him, he should die and any book that made me talk to it, has successfully wheeled me in. Now I am not sure I would read every book in the series because even in my ménage which this is not so hold your horses people ( I just like saying that, it’s the Texan in me), I like my man or men in love or in lust with my heroine. The other doms in the series seemed to have subs they let get around with those they trust in the community but not Master Darius he was not having that which made him different, he wanted what his parents had. If you like bdsm and you want something outside of the same ole dungeon or hands tied to the headboard check it out. There are bullets and machines!

Interview with Justus Roux,

BDSM, in an erotic hungry world, there are more people eager to read erotic romance and BDSM.

I’m thrilled that their more readers who are enjoying this genre.  I love that it has become more accepted.

Can you talk to us about the challenge of writing BDSM.

One challenge would be keeping it BDSM and not abuse, there is a big difference and it should always be clearly defined. There can be extreme scenes, but it must always be clear that it is consensual.  And when it’s not consensual it should be classified as abuse.  I hope this makes sense.

Second challenge would be making each Master different in a BDSM series. I try to make each and every Master in my Master Series very different from each other. This can be challenging at times.

And lastly, keep exploring new and exciting ways for the characters to play.

A submissive heroine in an age of kick ass chicks

A submissive heroine is strong in her own way. To be able to give yourself over completely to someone else, to really trust that person takes a real inner strength.

I personally enjoy both kinds of characters.
