Bookswagger Marcia: Three Crowns, swagger jacked, decent read. I loved the premise of How to Win a Guy in 10 Dates, you have super rich and hunky who likes to date around, meaning one date that lasts all nights. But wait he is a little different, surprise, surprise he also blows things up for and living. You put him with the cute curvy Millie who works multiple jobs in her bid for independence. Well surprise, surprise she also teaches burlesque and comes from a uber rich family. So while Ed thinks he is going to win the bet, started by his sister and best-friend by finding the most unsuitable candidate possible. He actually finds someone who can keep him interested enough to start thinking about forever. The book opens with the Ed being conned into betting he cannot go 10 dates with a woman, then shows him meeting the heroine in a very imaginative way (I won’t spoil it for you). He basically turns a bad situation into a chance for him to win the bet. Although the spice did have some lag, which surprised me, I thought I would stay excited but there will be a few pages that you have to get over to get to the good.
