Chasing Bliss, (Nights in Bliss, Colorado 7), Sophie Oak (Review)

We all love reading romance and with so many different genres and the genius of epublishing there is something for everyone. Whether you like dominating alpha males like me, the strong hard to get to know silent type like my partner or have a soft spot for nerds. We are living in a lucky time where someone has written or is writing that story.

Chasing Bliss, (Nights in Bliss, Colorado 7) Sophie Oak (Review)

Gemma Wells snapped when she walked in on her cheating fiancé. Not only was he cheating but he was offering her job to the bimbo. The one thing Gemma had focused her entire life on was achieving a successful career. Now barred from employment she leaves New York and returns with her mother to her hometown of Bliss, Colorado. Fired from a few jobs and forced to work as office manager for the sheriff department Gemma meets Jesse McCann and Cade Sinclair foster brothers who stuck around Bliss after obtaining justice for their foster-mother. Jesse knows Gemma is the happiness he has been searching for even if his brother Cade is letting the fears of his past block his future. He is Dom enough to deal with Gemma’s smart mouth and attitude while manipulating his brother into staying long enough to realize they have found the one.

Bookswagger Marcia: Four Crowns, good read, on the way to swagger. Chasing Bliss is a must read for those who are fans of Mrs. Oak’s series. To be honest there is no way once you get started in the series you are going to want to miss anything that happens in the town of Bliss, Colorado. Mrs. Oak has created one of the best towns in the world. The people are great, each with their own interesting stories and she always leaves you wanting to know more about an additional character or potential love ménage. She also has another series going strong, Texas Sirens with some heavy BDSM elements, the series crosses paths which is great for us fans of both series. In Chasing Bliss Jesse McCann and Cade Sinclair the biker mechanics we met in book 6, Hope McLean’s story are getting their chance at romance with return resident and bitchy lawyer Gemma Wells. Gemma has a mouth on her which makes for sparks with dominant Jesse who knows she is hiding beyond the hard demeanor. Cade spends most of the story trying not to fall in love, unable to resist. Watching these two fall in love and seeing the gang of Bliss in action again was great. You could read this as a standalone but why? I envy those who get to start at the beginning and discover the series from book one.

Cardinal’s Rule, Tymber Dalton (BDSM Blog Hop)

Cardinal’s Rule, Tymber Dalton

Tilly Cardinal is perfectly happy with life. She loves making a home for her Master, Christo. Everything is going well, they are searching for homes together and contemplating marriage. Tilly wears his collar happily, after all she has been through she has finally found someone she can trust in heart and soul.

Her world comes crashing down when Master Christo does not return from a four week business trip as scheduled. She has returned from the grocery store with the goal of preparing his favorite meal to find a letter in his place. Tilly receives a Dear John (or master) letter. Her Master has left her, while she was preparing for his return he spent the morning signing everything over into her name without a word of goodbye.

Tilly falls apart, her friends also in the lifestyle help her cope with the loss of her Master…

Now over five years later Tilly is Mistress, she no longer plays in the lifestyle as a submissive she makes money by toping men non-sexually. Her life is passing along until her former Masters, Master (yes, he left her for his former Master) Master Landry LaCroux enters her life and asks her to marry him. Master LaCroux is sick and he wants to make amends for how his submissive, her former Master treated her, he feels it is his fault.

The orgininal cover and this my favorite I am sure everyone can guess why

Now Tilly has to deal with a new husband she doesn’t know who is clearly a dominant and her former Master who is now a submissive.

I loved this book it has been out for a few years but I have never read anything like it and Tymber Dalton is one of the first authors to get me interested in the genre. She even writes a how to book about how to write the hot sex scenes she writes called Whip Me, Beat Me, Make Me Write Hot Sex (non-fiction). Oh I envy you getting to read this for the first time also check out her Family Matters series and my god, Fierce Radiance is science fiction domination at its best.
