Cardinal’s Rule, Tymber Dalton (BDSM Blog Hop)

Cardinal’s Rule, Tymber Dalton

Tilly Cardinal is perfectly happy with life. She loves making a home for her Master, Christo. Everything is going well, they are searching for homes together and contemplating marriage. Tilly wears his collar happily, after all she has been through she has finally found someone she can trust in heart and soul.

Her world comes crashing down when Master Christo does not return from a four week business trip as scheduled. She has returned from the grocery store with the goal of preparing his favorite meal to find a letter in his place. Tilly receives a Dear John (or master) letter. Her Master has left her, while she was preparing for his return he spent the morning signing everything over into her name without a word of goodbye.

Tilly falls apart, her friends also in the lifestyle help her cope with the loss of her Master…

Now over five years later Tilly is Mistress, she no longer plays in the lifestyle as a submissive she makes money by toping men non-sexually. Her life is passing along until her former Masters, Master (yes, he left her for his former Master) Master Landry LaCroux enters her life and asks her to marry him. Master LaCroux is sick and he wants to make amends for how his submissive, her former Master treated her, he feels it is his fault.

The orgininal cover and this my favorite I am sure everyone can guess why

Now Tilly has to deal with a new husband she doesn’t know who is clearly a dominant and her former Master who is now a submissive.

I loved this book it has been out for a few years but I have never read anything like it and Tymber Dalton is one of the first authors to get me interested in the genre. She even writes a how to book about how to write the hot sex scenes she writes called Whip Me, Beat Me, Make Me Write Hot Sex (non-fiction). Oh I envy you getting to read this for the first time also check out her Family Matters series and my god, Fierce Radiance is science fiction domination at its best.

  1. I had read BDSM but reviewing SAFEWORD MATTE by Candace Blevins got me looking at it more. Mostly because I had a commenter take me to task on my review. steph at fangswandsandfairydust dot com

    • I have never read Candace Blevins, but you have me wanting to check out your review. It is hard being a book blogger, cause we love arthurs and our readers and I know I hate the idea of upseting either.

    • Yeah, sorry about that. That was me. I can say that this one might push quite a few of your buttons too…^_^

  7. My first BDSM book was Anne Rice’s Beauty series. I was very young. From there, I went straight into the British BDSM books which are much more intense than what we have in the states, for the most part. I would say more SM and humiliation. Very little romance.

I’m just dropping to support a blogger. I already have this book and read it years ago. It’s a favourite of mine too. I liked the first one cover better too. I’m not sure if this second edition is revised. If so, I hope she made it more heart breaking.

    • Thank you for taking the time to stop by, I appreciate it! The brits do it harder for sure. They definitely make me feel like a light weight sometimes, I even go for the spanking and Domestic Discipline stories published by blushing after I have read something a little too… harsh for me.

      • My personal perspective is…Disney effect. The States are known for their reinterpretation of fairy tales. They also use the Disney effect for everything which is why even our BDSM carries the same Disney effect. It’s a cultural preference and sells very well. It a matter of tastes. I happen to like both (cuz I’m a BDSM slut) so it works really well for me. Lots to read! The thing I have issues with are the clearly way over the line to me fictionalized BDSM stories. Where the people don’t behave accordingly and the situations are just beyond my ken. I can’t suspend my believe that much for a contemporary slice of life fiction. But, whatever floats others boats. I know a section of BDSM I read, most people shudder at and don’t want to have anything to do with it. Hmm, now I think I’ll write a post on my blog about Disney Effect BDSM. Things to ponder…

  14. I think my very first BDSM reading was the Anne Rice Beauty series, and I was way too young to appreciate it. Years later, I discovered Cherise Sinclair and her Masters of the Shadowlands series. Master Z and boys captured my attention and they have yet to let go. 🙂

I look forward to reading Tymber Dalton’s books. Thanks for participating and for the giveaway.
