Sasha a widow and employee of upscale boutique Ciao Bella, meets ex-Marine Tony Colucci, one of her favorite customers. Tony is a spanker, he was raised in a domestic discipline household and expects it in his relationship with Sasha.

Sasha at fifty is not sure she can learn any new tricks but loved the way Tony’s spanking made her feel. After years of a lackluster marriage where it was all about her husband, she is enjoying her freedom and her smart mouth has free reign.

Tony has made Sasha his first priority and has no problem with providing discipline.

Bookswagger Marcia: Three Crowns, swagger jacked, decent read. This was a nice read, I liked the fact the heroine was in her fifties, Sasha’s age drew me to this title. One of the things that turned me off is some of the things she did. I am not fifty yet but my mother is close and I cringed at some of her behavior. Not that it was over the top bad, just some of the behavior I see in a lot of D/s reads with younger heroines. I was expecting a glimpse of maturity, with some behavior that would still earn a Grown A$% woman a spanking in this type of relationship. Hence the lower score, but all in all not mad I bought it, it was interesting and the hero drew me in, as well as his family. I would enjoy reading more titles based on the Colucci family.

Straight to the Swagger: The heroine still does those things that make you say, why. The hero spanks and is a guy, so he makes mistakes. One thing I really liked was the fact Tony was not perfect and was willing to admit his mistakes.

Side Note: At the last conference I attended, one of the main topics of discussion was the lack of older heroines. Readers felt they had grown up reading romance but the heroines had not grown up with them. I sat next to one lady, we shall refer to her as the lady in the hat. She said “just wait, just wait, I am writing a bdsm romance, and the heroine is in her 70s” The woman who made this statement could have been in her 60s or 70s but I refuse to speculate on a woman’s age! Lol. But curiosity might pull me in on that one.

Stephanie Gordon is a feminist, she founded and leads an organization that protects women’s rights and teaches them how to defend themselves. The last thing she expects is to find herself wanting someone like deputy chief of police Mark DeLuca, a member of the Rod and Cane Society. Rod and Cane Society is an old organization that believes in spanking and calling wives by their husband’s names. When Mark meets Stephanie on their blind date, he sees the soft woman beneath the hard shell and knows she is what he has been looking for. He lets her know up front what their relationship will entail and how it will affect her bottom.

Bookswagger Marcia: Five Crowns, major swagger a must read. Do not let the cover fool you! Although it is a hot read the cover looks like it is about a young punk couple but it is not. This is a spanking romance with some hot love scenes. You do not need to read any other book in the series (but you should lucky you), feel free to jump right in and enjoy. Mark and Stephanie are a prime example of opposites attracting, the author did not just put them together and showcase their chemistry. She made them a believable couple who complimented each other. Followers will enjoy checking in on the society, new comers will not be distracted by the mention of old characters since it helped build Mark and Stephanie’s world. The book was too short I wanted more, although Bristol gave us everything we romance reader want: a love story, a black moment and betrayal from a friend. I am in love with spanking stories and sometimes they can be a little ho hum. Right now I would say Cara Bristol is taking over the genre.

Bookswagger Marcia: Four Crowns good read, on the way to swagger. This was a very sweet read. More about the journey of the couple learning to trust each other. Ben just wanted to keep the sweet Emma safe, even though she had a tendency to want to just do her!

Carol Gahlin has chosen to participate in the office secret Santa. Her secret Santa knows of her secret desire to be spanked and is using the office five day secret Santa lead up to the Christmas party to drive her crazy with desire. Yes she has been a naughty girl, trying to figure out who her secret Santa is, which leads to spankings because he always seems to know what she’s up too. Bookswagger Marcia: Four Crowns good read, on the way to swagger. I loved it! Very spicy and not in a creepy disgusting way. Imagine that hot guy you are crushing in the office becoming your secret Santa leaving you gifts, little notes about spankings and then meeting you for secret spankings.
